To the Caldwell family I send my heartfelt condolences. I would have expected a lengthy obituary and pages of comments from friends, so I cannot begin to imagine what has led us to this. Annie Laurie was my first love, a beautiful and brilliant woman, and I never stopped caring for her and hoping she would find peace and be ok. I hope that that was the case. Best wishes to the family. Peace! Hans
My sincere condolences to all Annie-Laurie’s family and friends. I, too, am stunned to finally get this news and am also surprised more are not commenting and leaving notes. She was an important teacher of mine and for a time a great friend. We lost touch over the years and like Mr. Cooper I hope she found the peace she sought and was ok. Pax Omnis.
I am belatedly learning of Annie-Laurie’s passing, which saddens me. We were colleagues at SMU and friends, although we lost touch over the years. She was indeed beautiful and talented as a teacher, a musician, a cook, and an artist. She was charitable and big-hearted to those in need, and took in as many stray dogs as her house would hold. She was a lively but restless person. May she now rest in peace.
Late tonight, I started thinking of old friends, and although I haven’t seen Annie Laurie for years, she was the first person I googled tonight. The first item to pop up was her obituary. Ouch. Long dark hair, brilliant unbelievably blue eyes, and the unlikely name of Annie Laurie. She was charismatic, magnetic, almost vibrating with passion, and infinitely intelligent. As a very junior colleague, I was in awe. God bless Annie Laurie.
I love you, Annie Laurie ❤️ Forever
