Mann, Sydney Tipping
Obituary
Sydney was born in Dallas, Texas, but her early years were spent in Canton & Lindale, Texas and Los Angeles, California. She was very active in her youth group at the First United Methodist Church of Canton where she raised money through the church to participate in mission trips to Juarez, Mexico and Guatemala. In more recent years she attended the First United Methodist Church in Lindale. Sydney graduated from Lindale High School, and attended college in both Tyler, Texas and Dallas and spent the last several years living in Dallas. Sydney loved to travel and had visited many states and several foreign countries, but her favorite was Oslo, Norway. She loved dogs, fancy foods and fashion, and never saw a Burberry she didn’t like. She was funny, kind-hearted, and madly loved by her family. Sydney’s faith gave her great comfort and she valued her personal relationship with God through all things.
Sydney is survived by her mom and dad, Bill and Chris Mann of Dallas, Texas, her brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Maureen Mann of Dallas, and her sister and brother-in-law Cara & Scott Prentice of Plano, Texas. She also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins in both Texas and Pennsylvania who miss her dearly.
Sydney will be missed by all who knew her. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.Arrangements under the direction of:

My deepest condolences to Sydney’s family and friends.
Please accept my condolences regarding your daughter Sydney. My daughter katya was her roommate in Dallas for a while.
I am so sorry to hear of Sydney’s passing. She was so sweet and I know this must be extremely difficult for you. Our prayers and love are with you. May God grant you comfort and peace.
Your dear Sydney was much loved and will be missed greatly. We were very sorry to hear of Sydney’s passing–she was a light in your lives. We will pray your family will find peace in knowing how many people loved her.
What a beautiful child God created for you and Bill. She brought so much joy and happiness into your lives. She was truly an angel. Our daughter,, Jourdan and Sydney met in Kindergarten, instantly, became best friends. There were many play dates and sleepovers. They loved each other so much.. We were so grateful to have had that kind of relationship with Sydney. If Jourdan and Sydney made plans to have a sleepover at either house that’s what happened! I was a second mom to Sydney and enjoyed every minute.
Wow…what a wonderful child God created for you and Bill.. Sydney was a wonderful child. As chance would have it my daughter, Jourdan, were in the same Kindergarten class. They, instantly, became best friends and inseparable. They had many many many play dates and sleepovers. I was Sydney’s Girl Scout Leader until the family moved to Canton, Tx. I was a second mother to Sydney. She loved when Chris walked into the said out loud “Sydney must be here” and Sydney and Jourdan would come charging him knocking him to the floor all three of laughing and giggly! He would say, “how long you gonna be staying this time” and the two of them would chirp “we haven’t decided, yet. And through their friendship… grew ours. So it’s with heavy hearts we say, “so long and we thank God for blessing us with your presence even though it doesn’t seem lo enough. But now you are resting in Jesus for he is a resting place. To our very dear friends, Chris and Bill, it’s with broken hearts that we offer our deepest sympathy for the loss of your special angel. We pray for your strength, peace, comfort and solace. Ask God for what you need to get through this difficult journey and he’ll supply your spirit.
With love,
Chris and Sheila
My heart breaks for your family. Sydney and I were friends through Paige- my daughter. She was a welcome guest in my home for Oscar parties and always a joy at birthday parties- much like a sweet aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I pray you will find peace and comfort in the days ahead.
Daddy and I miss you so much! We love you.
I have just found out about this and my heart is broken for your family. Bill and Chris you were like second parents to me throughout high school, and while Sydney and I had recently lost touch, she always had a special place in my heart. The memories are endless, too many to type, but I will forever value and love you all as family. Praying for peace and would love to see you both and hope we can do so soon. I am so saddened to hear this news and will miss her so very much and hold our memories in a special place.
Sydney touched my life only briefly, but she leaves a mark that will be everlasting. She truly was a beautiful person with a beautiful mind, and I will always cherish our talks of economics and how she loved others.
I met Sydney several years ago. She was an amazing and smart woman. She taught the joys of fine dining and being a foodie. She will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting her. RIP Sydney
I met Sydney in March 2018 only knew her for a while but she was a kind and sweet person. Will miss her I kept hoping I’d see her and her dad walk through the door again ! R. I. P.
