Elden, Joanne Theresa (Humenik)
Obituary
Joanne Theresa Elden, 75, of Frisco, TX, passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on July 14, 2021. Born September 23, 1945 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Michael George Humenik and Helen Humenik. Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a very colorful personality, an amazing sense of humor, and could make almost anyone laugh. She was a spitfire and always full of life. Joanne was a fighter—and fought a triumphant battle against breast cancer in 2009-2010. She was proud of her fight and felt blessed to be a survivor. Her journey undoubtedly changed her indefinitely and strengthened her faith in God. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, baking, playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, taking rides on her golf cart, playing bingo and enjoying a cocktail on her patio. Her most treasured memories though were with family; her late-husband, daughter, son-in-law, two precious grandchildren, and her Yorkshire Terrier, Trouble. Joanne is survived by her daughter, Nicole Conger and her husband Tom; her two grandchildren Chloe and Charlie; and her brother John Paul Humenik. Joanne is preceded in death by her husband John Elden; and brother Edward Humenik. Please join us in celebration of her life Tuesday morning July 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 6400 Stonebrook Parkway in Frisco, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ardent Hospice or Friends of The Colony Animal Services. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
