Brenda and I met when we both lived in Northern Virginia and attended the same church. We have been friends for 30 years. When I think of her, I think of her smile and cheerfulness. She loved the Lord and had such wisdom. I admired her talent for working with numbers, and for playing the guitar. She was a precious friend I will miss. My prayers go out to her dad, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as, her extended family. She loved you all so deeply! May God comfort your hearts.

My daughter was special and in my mind had no equals. She was taken from us at an early age. Upon realizing her condition she met the challenge with optimism and determination to win the battle. There were never complaints or fear. She was totally prepared and committed to her Lord Jesus Christ. She has an untold no of friends during her journey through school, career, church and just plain folks. I can’t envision my life life without her it. I loved her so much.

I was always amazed at Brenda’s insight and wisdom in so many areas. Her concern for the well being of others was shown with prayer and action. I know our Lord was pleased with her Christian service on earth. I was inspired by her faith. Brenda will be missed and remembered for her example of a godly woman.

Brenda was always so helpful with benevolence needs here at Stonebriar Community Church. She was also always eager to help people with budgeting assistance. I know that many are grateful for her help. I loved her gently, funny spirit and will miss her. I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for the family.

Brenda and I have been friends for many years. We met in Northern Virginia and attended the same church. We shared many dinners together talking encouraging each other and laughing. Unfortunately, we lost touch when she moved to Texas. Several years ago I was on a business trip in Texas, called Brenda and she drove an hour to met me for dinner. It was wonderful to she her again, share dinner and pick up our friendship. I will miss Brenda. Can’t wait to see you in heaven, my friend.

We didn’t know her personally, but knew her through her father, Wes. He is one of our favorite beings on Earth, and he told us many times of her intelligence, humor, ability to help other beings, and love. We salute her, and offer more of our love and condolences to him.

I am so grateful for meeting my cousin at a family reunion in Iowa in 1991. We were fortunate to travel to Iowa and be together at Aunt Lynn’s several times over the years. We always enjoyed our visits so much and vowed to keep in touch. She was a dear cousin and friend. It is sad to know I cannot contact her but I am truly happy to know we will in heaven. I love you Uncle Wes and Taylor family.

I worked with Brenda for many years. We both went in different directions but still kept in touch occasionally. I only just now realized she had passed away. I’ll always remember Brenda as someone who was so intentional. Intentional about improving situations at work, about expanding her skillset and learning new things, about putting good out into the world through her church or training as a counselor, and about loving her family who she talked about often. She was a good person and will be missed. Condolences to her friends and family.

I only just heard about Brenda’s passing, I am so sorry to hear this. We first started working together in the 1040 GoSystem group in 1987. My favorite memory is waiting in line at Taylor’s Bookstore on Beltline Road in Addison for 2.5 hours TX to buy Jiimy Stewart”s book & get his autograph. It was a longer lunch than we thought it would be, but we had such fun! The last time Brenda & I got together was in 2019. I hadn’t heard from her since Covid started.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
