Obituary
Jonette Irene Willman Henderson of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2021, after a long illness. Jonette was born in Montgomery, Ala., on March 24, 1942, to the late John Oram and Margaret Lynch Willman. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama, where she graduated from Murphy High School in 1960. She moved to Dallas the following year, where she met her husband, Cecil Doile Henderson. Together, they raised four children. Jonette worked for W. O. Bankston and later with the Belmont Group in Dallas. While working, she earned a B.B.A. in Management from Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas. Throughout her life, Jonette served her community and loved the friends she served alongside. She was active at Valwood Park Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, where she was a facilitator for the Christian Cancer Support Group. She was also a member of the North Dallas Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Most recently, she served on the Farmers Branch Senior Advisory Board and volunteered at the Farmers Branch Retirement Center. Jonette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Jimmy Henderson. She is survived by her brother Jerry Willman and his wife Linda; children Randy Henderson, Julie Henderson, Donna Mercier, and Jeffery Henderson; granddaughters Tami Henderson and Alexis Bonvillain and her husband Timothy; and four great grandchildren, in whom she greatly delighted. Jonette’s memorial service will be at 2 p.m. at Valwood Park Baptist Church on October 9, 2021. She will be interred later at the DFW National Cemetery, next to her husband, who served as a U.S. Army corporal during the Korean conflict. Flowers may be delivered to the sanctuary at Valwood Park Baptist Church between noon and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Valwood Park Baptist Church at 2727 Valwood Parkway, Dallas, TX 75234. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

Jonette was a dear friend and neighbor for over 16 years. We enjoyed all the good times.Jonette Loved to go with us to S&D Oyster Co. to eat. We we’re saddened of her passing and regret that we were out of town on business and missed her service. Our neighborhood lost a good resident.In our opinion, Jonette was a true Belle.
