Obituary

Julia Brink Hamilton, age 81, died on October 6, 2021, in her son’s home in Carrollton, Texas. Born September 22, 1940, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, she lived in El Paso, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1958 and went on to work in the Bradford Area School System. She retired from Ford Motor Credit in Oklahoma City in 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rhea Brink and her brother James. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo Nelson Hamilton also from Bradford, Pennsylvania. She gave birth to her only child, Scott Martin Hamilton in El Paso, Texas in 1964 who is married to Jaynie Hamilton of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany and Sean Lyle of Salem, Oregon, Ashlyn and Carl IV of Krum, Texas, Michael of Denton, Texas, Collin Fender of Argyle, Texas, and Kinsey Fender of Corpus Christi, Texas; Niece Karen Pencille of Erie, Pennsylvania, Sister-in-law Mary Hamilton of Bradford, Pennsylvania; Great-grandchildren, Avery, Maxwell, Carl V, and Beau. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a memorial donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Special thanks to all the healthcare providers at Holding Hands Hospice of Dallas, Texas. An open house memorial will be held at 3315 Sam Rayburn Run in Carrollton, Texas from 1-3pm on Saturday, October 9th, 2021. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

    Julie was a good friend who made all my days brighter as we worked each day at Ford Credt. She had the greatest sense of humor of anyone I have known. I know Lee and smS ott and all the kids were the limbed of her life. She will be forever in my heart. May God comfort Lee , Scott and the family.

    Vickie…..Thank you for remembering my Julie. Its been a difficult year careing for her but I am thankful God took her before she entered the final stages of alzheimers. I could not have done it alone in OKC.Scott insisted we move in with him rather than a seniors home because of the COVID mess. I am lost without her… Thank god for the kids and grandkids…Wish you and Don well…..Lee

    Lee – thank you for letting us know about Julie (I called her JOOL-YA). She never forgot a birthday – always sent a lovely card. We had a lot of fun way back when all our kids were small – lots of bleacher sitting watching ball games. Hello to Scott. Thanks again. Love to you. Janet and Benny

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."
