Obituary
Delpha L Teague, 73, died on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Highlands Guest Care Center in Dallas, Texas following complications from a stroke and seizure disorder. Thanks is given to all those who helped to care for her in her final years. She was born in Dallas, Texas on April 5, 1948, to Royal E. Teague and Edna Earl (Bouldin) Teague. She is survived by her son, Christopher Simson, daughter-in-law, Kristin (Bonesio) Simpson and grandchildren Marcus, Calleigh, and Sadie Simpson. She is also survived by her older sister Bobbie (Teague) Phillips along with cousins and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Betty (Teague). Delpha graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966. She participated as a member of The Little Group, a dance troop consisting of local high school students who served as dancers on the Sump’n Else Show with Ron Chapman, which was held at North Park Center in the 1960’s. She went on to a successful career in Modeling with the Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, Texas. Delpha later worked in the fashion industry for a majority of her professional career. Later, she worked as a receptionist until her retirement in 2018. Delpha was a longtime member of the Episcopal church. She often spoke of and cherished her deepened relationship with God after achieving sobriety in 1988. Delpha knew scripture well and was very studious of the history of the Christian Faith. She never met a stranger was able to find the worth and value in those she interacted with. Delpha will be remembered for her quick wit, creativity, and artistic talents. She was compassionate and often showed her love and support through creative expression. Delpha was an avid animal lover and was particularly fond of her long time Saluki, Lena. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church Chapel in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 2pm. Memorial Contributions can be sent to the Magdalen House (4513 Gaston Avenue, Dallas, TX 75246) in Honor of the Memory of Delpha Teague.

Farewell dear friend! I enjoyed every minute we got to work together. We had many laughs eating corn dogs before the Sump’n else show; and competing together in the Miss Dallas pageant. Thanks for your friendship and support back then. You were so talented!
