Obituary
Darryl Wayne Eastwood of Garland, Texas passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2022. Darryl was born on June 26, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. He was married to his best friend and love of his life, Barbara, in 1982 Darryl served in the Armed Forces, U.S. Army for 3 years while stationed in Milwaukee. There he began his electronics training leading to his 30+ years in electronics, first at Collins Radio and retiring from Alcatel in Richardson, Texas. After retirement, Darryl became interested in golf. He became an avid golfer and appreciated the challenge to perfect his game. He was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church most of his adult life. Darryl always treated people fairly and was willing to help others. He spent many years volunteering with Good Samaritan of Garland. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, Durwood Sherwood Eastwood and Lois Merdine Shipp, and siblings Gayle, Billy, Benny and Sandy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, sister Johnnie Sue (Lonnie), children Don, Marlo, Leslie, James (Laura), Cheryl (Robert), 6 grandsons, 4 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters. The family of Darryl invites memorial gifts to be made in his name to Good Samaritan of Garland A celebration of life will be held in Garland in June.

I am so sorry to hear this Barbara and family. You cared for him with unrestricted love and demonstrated to all of us how to do the same.
Darryl was a good friend and brother in Christ. He always smiles and help everyone who need it. Great job on earth, now in heaven enjoy a beautiful and eternal life.
