Obituary
James Richard Swindal passed away September 7, 2013 at his home after a gallant battle against lung cancer. Born on October 17, 1953 in Houston, James had resided in Frisco, Texas for the last few years. Upon graduation from Mesquite High School in 1973, James served in the Merchant Marines. Afterwards, he worked on a ship for Exxon, was employed as a water utilities inspector, ventured into cable TV sales and later worked as a commercial sales manager for DirecTV for 20 years. James was employed with DSI Systems up until he passed away. The family would like to thank Doug Robison, Dave Robison and Mike Hensel of DSI for standing by him during his courageous battle with cancer. James expressed his appreciation to DSI many times and loved working there. Special thanks to Robert Romines for his dedication in helping James do his job up and until the final end. During his life, James enjoyed playing golf, deep sea fishing and travel. He was a Caring and Loving husband to his wife Judy and a father figure to her son, Troy and her daughter Lisa and James was the most Wonderful Caring and Loving Son and Brother that a Mother and Sister could ever be blessed with to his Mother Adele and his Sister Lori Swindal He loved his Furkids, Bruno, Brutus James (THE BULLY) and Phoebe as well. James is survived by his wife Judy, stepson Troy Sample and his wife Dawn, stepdaughter Lisa Bellah and her husband Quinton, and three grandchildren, Aliza, Lila, and Austin, his mother Adele Swindal and sisters Lori and Teresa Swindal. Memorial Services are scheduled for Monday, September 16th 3PM at Preston Highlands Baptist Church, 17463 Davenport Road, Dallas, TX with Reverend Jeremy Johnston officiating. James will truly be missed. His sharp humor and biting personality endeared him to everyone.
We loved him and will miss him. His amazing personality touched everyone that had the blessing of meeting him.
