It was sad to learn of Cathy’s passing. My heart aches for her family, friends, and colleagues. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the services but wanted to let the family know that Cathy was a long time friend, work colleague, confident, and fellow believer in Christ. She had a Christ-like Spirit, positive attitude, wonderful smile (and laugh), and a genuine love for the Lord. No matter what challenges she faced, Cathy always had faith and trust in God that He was there with her and would get her through. She lived her life for Jesus. I will always cherish the time we had together sharing a meal, having wonderful conversation, discuss the scriptures and creating many, many memories. She will be missed; but never forgotten. I am so thankful to God that I was allowed to be a part of her life’s journey. God blessed all of us in so many ways through Cathy.
Cathy and I had some really fun times. We took a wild trip to Dustin, Fl and proved you can enjoy a great vacation while dieting. We and a few others took a trip to Galveston during Christmas season and enjoyed the beach and downtown festivities. We met many times at Starbucks for coffee. She was a great friend and confidant. My husband and I met online at a website where each person submitted a writeup in order to give an idea about themselves and who they would like to meet. Cathy wrote my writeup and I found my husband. She had a beautiful voice and we sang together in the church choir. She had a wonderful sense of humor and kept me laughing every time I was with her. When we could get others to join we loved playing board games. What a friend!
