Erica Antoinette Riley
Obituary
Born on October 23, 1980, Erica Antoinette Riley was the youngest child of Irma Jean Johnson and Jessie Riley Sr. of Milwaukee, WI. Affectionately known amongst her older siblings as “The Baby”, Erica was also a spark plug with a heart of gold, meaning that even though she would read, argue or debate anyone under the table, she was also there for and would give her last to anyone in need.
Erica graduated in 2005 from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Political Science, and dreams of attending law school.
She decided to forgo law school when she found her niche in intellectual property and trademarking. She worked as an IP and trademarking paralegal for such companies as TGI Friday’s, Harley Davidson. Until her passing on January 25, 2022, Erica served as Senior Marketing Connections Consultant (IP and Brand) at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Richardson, TX. Because Erica also had a lifelong passion for all things beauty, she also obtained a license of cosmetology from Paul Mitchell.
Erica’s transition is preceded by her parents, and siblings Angela Faye Johnson and Carl (Sandra) Riley.
Erica leaves behind many smiles and cherished memories with siblings Jessica Riley, Shawn Riley, and Keiba Johnson, all of Milwaukee, WI, Latonya Johnson, Patrick (Comanicasha) Johnson, Karen Johnson, Tracy (Adedayo) Ogunwale, all of Dallas, TX, Michael Jefferson of Hattiesburg, MS, Kimberly Duncan and Katrina Johnson of Natchez, MS, Willie (Tina) Johnson of Atlanta GA, Joanie (Frank) Green, Alice (Terrance) Pugh, Hal (Rhonda) Riley, Joyce Riley-Young and Jessie Riley Jr., all of Milwaukee, WI, Sandra F. Riley of Country Club, IL, nieces and nephews (some to whom she was affectionately known as “Titi Fox”) aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
A Memorial Service for Erica will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00am at Aria Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75252.

Dear Riley family,
The spark plug you describe above is the Erica I knew too — a delightful, professional colleague. I enjoyed working with her very much and swapping stories of Wisconsin winters. With deepest sympathies.
