I’m really sorry for your loss.. She was an amazing teacher. She taught me a lot about life and because of her I’m going to graduate this year. I’d really appreciate if I can go to the funeral to pay my respects. She will be greatly missed..
I’m sad to hear the passing of Ms. Hanna. She was my algebra teacher my jr year in high school & was an amazing teacher, even though I disliked the homework. (What kid likes math homework?) She was different from other teachers so most kids didn’t care for her but personally I saw more than just a math teacher. I’ll never forget her quirky random facts she’d tell the class or how she beamed when she announced to us her granddaughter was born. She enjoyed doing what she did and I’m going to miss her dearly. May she rest in peace and peace be with her family.
We will miss or sweet neighbor of 26 years. I know that you are injoying the splendor of your new home in the presence of your Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and feeling sorry for all of us who are left here. One day we will join you there. Prayers for your family and friends as they deal with their terrible loss. The world lost a great lady. Zry2vT
She was a good friend, a really, really good math teacher, and a person of strong convictions. She had high standards for her students and for herself, and had an uncanny way of reaching students and helping them push themselves to their goals (and hers!). She had the respect of all who knew her – for a wide variety of reasons. I miss her.
Ms. Hanna was one of my favorite teachers and I will always appreciate the impact she had in my life. Her humor and passion for teaching made her such a special person. I deeply regret not keeping in touch with her after I graduated from Berkner.
Ms. Hanna was one of the greatest teachers at BHS. She taught me algebra 2 and calculus, so we got to know each other well. Even now as a college student, I still refer to the notes that I took in her class. She drove her students crazy with tough assignments!! But she never gave us anything we couldn’t handle. Ms. Hanna had high expectations for her students and taught us to never doubt ourselves. She not only cared about our academic success, but she cared about us as people. I lost my mother a year ago and Ms. Hanna was beyond supportive and encouraging. I will never forget and will always miss the incomparable Ms. Hanna.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Betsy. We grew up together in Dallas. I remember her from elementary school and thru high school. We shared lots of laughs during our younger days. I could not find anything about her passing, other than this memorial site. My dear childhood friend, Rest in Peace.
