Jessica Marie Solomon
Obituary
With great sorrow and steadfast love, the Gonzales and Solomon families announce the unexpected passing of our brilliant, kind, generous, beautiful mother, wife, daughter, aunt, and niece, Jessica Marie Solomon.
Jessica Marie Solomon (née Gonzales) was born on November 2, 1966, in Los Angeles, California to Maria Christina Gonzales and Daniel Stanley “Talao” Gonzales. She grew up primarily in El Paso, Texas with her big sister Rachel. She graduated from Ysleta High School and was an integral part of the drum corps. As she pursued a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso, she also helped raise (and named) her sister’s daughter, Charlie. In 1993, Jessica advanced all the skills she built as the perfect aunty, to being the perfect mother to her daughter, Grace. Jessica was devoted to her entire family, always available for snuggles, snacks, hopping in the car and driving nowhere, and dispensing sage advice about any of life’s challenges.
Her breathtaking beauty, her undeniable charisma, her infectious laugh and smile, and her razor-sharp, lightning-fast sense of humor left a mark on everyone she met. To be in conversation with her was to feel like royalty and the most interesting person in the room. She wasn’t just the life of the party – she was the party – where we all wanted to be.
In addition to cracking jokes and making up silly songs, she loved horseback riding, visiting state Capitols, being politically informed and engaged, traveling, cooking, being with family, eating McDonald’s, and tending to her garden.
Jessica was predeceased by her father, Daniel Gonzales, and is survived by her mother Christina, and her sister Rachel. She leaves behind her niece Charlie, her daughter Grace, and Grace’s fiancé Rob. This life won’t be the same without her.
Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
