Bruce will be deeply missed by his EPA family and beyond. You will remain in our hearts forevermore.
What a loss, Bruce could always keep a conversation in motion, especially if a topic he was passionate about. I have memories of his first tamale making at Karen’s house where friends and family gathered to celebrate the holiday season. Bruce’s tamales always looked like a burrito and he noted he would be able to spot his work of art instantly. Bruce’s passion for the outdoors was infectious and we were always talking about upcoming adventures for both of us. I recall him inviting me and my oldest daughter over to see his numerous canoes and kayaks. His loss will be felt by his EPA family.
I can still hear him talk about the downtown YMCA being sold and his passion of how it was patrons like him who would suffer from the closure…he was truely not happy and wanted everyone to know it. His friendship and wit will be missed by the Malott’s. Our condolences to his family and we are thankful he touched us directly.
Bruce was always kind and made me laugh constantly.
My deepest sympathies to Bruce’s family and friends. What a loss to everyone who knew him❣️
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God provide comfort during this sad time.

May my friend Rest In Peace. May the Angels embrace his spirit.
I was shocked to hear the news. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Bruce was a great attorney at EPA and he helped us with many legal issues. He was always willing to take his time to share his knowledge. He was extremely popular with the attendees when he taught the legal part of our National UIC Inspector Training Class that was held twice in Dallas. Bruce will be greatly missed by me and the rest of his EPA family.
Bruce will be missed tremendously at EPA. My condolences to the family, friends and his EPA family.
Rest In Peace Bruce.
Bruce worked with many of us at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and predecessor agencies over his career at EPA. He was a thoughtful, kind, and wonderful person who was an excellent lawyer that will be missed by us all.
Such a good guy. So sad.
My prayers are with you Mrs. Jones and family. I worked with Bruce for several years at EPA. He and I shared growing up stories and laughed a lot. He was a kind person with a generous spirit, a true friend. He let the world a better place.
Bruce was one of the first people I met at Hendrix. We were part of the same pre-orientation group, during which we attempted to build a bridge at Village Creek State Park. What our group lacked in carpentry skills, we made up for by building friendships that lasted our four years at the school, and beyond. Bruce was kind, funny, smart, reflective, determined, sincere, and an all-around great guy. I don’t know how many times he gave me a ride home to LR on weekends, but it was a frequent thing! Out of his way; didn’t matter. While I hadn’t seen him in years, I have always had a Bruce-spot in my heart, and I am so sorry to hear today of his recent passing. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. My heart goes out to you all. I am grateful for the time and friendship we shared.
I am so sad to hear about Bruce’s passing. I considered him a brother. I just spoke to him a couple weeks before he passed and all seemed well. Rest In Peace and know I love you.
Dear Bruce: I was not at peace until I did this….Death is evident for us all but each time it happens it hits me in my heart. I never thought that you would be gone now. I still miss you and I hate I missed your memorial service but my thoughts, prayers & spirit was there. No more toiling or laboring for you here on earth. No more sickness and no more pain for you. So glad you were a part of my work life for so many years. You made me feel special and loved like a true friend but I see now that you made everyone feel that way. Thank You for not treating me differently….Thank You for being me friend and my work brother from another mother. Rest On From Your Labors, you did run well & you blessed many lives along the way. I love you then, now and forever in my heart!!!❤❤ ❤❤
