Marcia Chastain
Obituary
Marcia Estelle Chastain, passed away on July 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was a beloved and caring Mom, Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother. Marcia is survived by her 3 daughters: Lindsay (Dallas, TX), Melissa (Dallas, TX) and Kari (Belleville, TX) and her greatest joys, her 5 grandchildren: Tripp, Avery Kate, Knox, Alexandra and Isabel, her brother, James and her nephew, Michael. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Gerald. Marcia was born in Oklahoma City on December 30, 1948, to Cecil and Fannie Dennis. She attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, where she was a Cheerleader for the mighty Spartans. She never lost her gift for being the loudest one cheering on her friends and family. Everyone who knew Marcia will tell you that she loved her family, and she loved Jesus,… and the occasional glass of 2 buck chuck. Marcia would tell the story of the 2nd grade, when her desk was first moved to the corner for too much talking. Knowing Marcia, that would hardly have slowed her down. Marcia was happiest when she was sharing laughter, stories, prayers, and support with those she cared about. Marcia never met a stranger, and her smile would light up any room. Marcia was a bright light at work, quickly making her co-workers feel like family. She cherished her work family and retired from First Rate Financial in 2017 as the self-titled VP of First Impressions. Many of her favorite times were in Southeastern Oklahoma where she spent childhood summers making memories (and a little mischief) with her favorite cousins. The joy (and mischief) continued the rest of her life at her brother Gerald’s home in Antlers, Oklahoma, where holidays were filled with more laughter, food, and grandbaby snuggles.

She really did have a great smile and was so sweet. I’m sad for her loved ones, but happy she’s in the presence of Jesus now.
Our family ( the Fleener’s) are so heartbroken about Marcia’s passing! We loved having her in our family years ago and still thought of Marcia as our family! We know she’s with God, but she will be missed by all! God Bless all of you! Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Love from the Fleener Family!
Marcia was a beautiful lady with bigs smiles alway friendly to everyone.
Praying for her family until they meet her again .
I truly loved Marcia, she was a beautiful person inside and out. I loved to laugh with her at work. She was always so fun to be around. She told the gospel to everyone she met. I know she is with her Lord and Savior. May she rest in peace. Jayne Smith
I knew Marcia when she worked at First Rate. Her smile would light up a room and she had a servant heart. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Our prayers are with you at this time.

Her memory will live on in the beautiful family she has left behind. I’m praying for you all!
What a beautiful person Marcia was!! I was privileged to know her when she attended Destiny Christian Center for a umber of years. What a delightful person she was!!! She made a lasting impact on my life as she truly emanated the light of Jesus!! She has now moved her residence and even though she will be greatly missed, she is now looking down on us as part of the great cloud of witnesses…praying for us all!! God bless the family and I pray God’s comforting presence be with you all!
So sorry to hear of Marcia’s passing. We went to high school with her, then later lived across the street from her on 56th street in OKC. Such an upbeat and enjoyable person!
I am so sorry to hear this. I can remember when Phyllis Patton and I would go to Antlers with Mrs. Patton and visit Mama and Phyllis cousins. We had some fun during those simple times. Psalms 34:18 says Jehovah is close to the broken-hearted. You are in my heartfelt prayers
Marcia was such a blessing and was a beautiful mentor to me when she lived in Rowlett. I still remember things that she taught me about walking with Jesus!! Praying for comfort and peace for her sweet family!!
Marcia and I worked on our high school newspaper together..the ‘SPARTAN SHOUT’.. I always enjoyed her nonsensical(?) input to my sports stories. Her bright smile will always be remembered. I hope the Good Lord likes loud cheers.
I loved getting to know Marcia these last several years when my brother dated and married her youngest daughter, Kari. Marcia had the biggest smile, warmest personality and best laugh. She was truly a gift.
I’m so sorry for your pain, but confident that you’ll see her again & she will no doubt have many jewels in her crown when you do. My love to the family.
Marcia was a dear dear friend to me. On many occasions she lifted my spirits and what a prayer warrior she was! We always seemed to spend lots of time laughing when we were together. I know she is home in heaven and it’s reassuring to know she’s seen her Saviour face to face! My thoughts and prayers are with her girls and grandchildren. I pray they have many cherished memories to treasure!
Bay & Kari,
We are so sorry for you and your families loss. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. She was beautiful what a great smile!

Breathing heaven’s fresh air. Everyone who knew her was blessed with genuine love. She brought joy to many people and looked forward to meeting Jesus! She’s dancing the streets in heaven! Love you dearly.
My prayers are with Marcia’s family & friends.
Marcia loved her girls: Lindsay, Melissa & Kari.
Hearing Marcia tell stories about her grandchildren: Trippy, Avery Kate, Knox, Alexandra & Isabel always made my day. What lucky grandchildren to have Marcia.
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, I will miss you for always.
