Mary Ann Thompson
Obituary
Mary Ann (Cormier) Thompson was born on August 25, 1938, to Annie Bellard Cormier and Joseph Murphy Cormier in Church Point, Louisiana. She married her best friend and high school sweetheart, David Ray Thompson, on November 21, 1956.
Mary Ann loved family and exemplified it in everything she did. There were lots of family trips, days at the lake and she never missed any of her baby’s sports events….and oh the grandbabies…she adored her grandbabies and was always their number one fan!! They, and many others, affectionately call her Memom! She was a very strong woman and handled the battles life threw her way with steadfastness, grace, humility, and faith!
Her love, humor, beautiful spirit, and contagious smile will be missed greatly.
Mary Ann is proceeded in death by her parents, Murphy and Annie, her husband, David, her son, Mark Thompson and her brothers, Rodney Cormier and Keith Cormier.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheron Baldwin (Harold) and her grandchildren, Laura Baldwin (Adam), Susan Saffel (Steven), Michael Baldwin (Katy), and her great grandchildren Alexa and Emery Saffel, Myles and Eli Baldwin, and her brother James Cormier, as well as other beloved family and friends.
We are thankful for the love and care provided Mary Ann and family by Glorious Residential.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Alzheimer’s Association.
