Obituary
Melinda Lee McCormick Moseley Nolasco passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 60 years of age.
The McCormick family were members of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church where Melinda was baptized. Throughout her life she continued in her Christian faith.
She was a Girl Scout for many years, received a number of awards, performed community services and made many friends.
She was a talented musician. At a young age, she took piano lessons and excelled at playing the tuba. In her teens Melinda was chosen to join the American Youth Symphony playing the tuba in Europe. She performed as guest tubist with Eve Gilmore under Edwardo Mata at the Meyerson with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. For years in Dallas, Melinda played at Tuba Christmas and was a performing member of the Dallas Cowboy Band including playing at the Super Bowl in Miami.
Melinda was a dedicated figure skater and member of the Dallas Figure Skating Club for many years.
Melinda graduated from Richardson High and attended Richland College. She used her creativity and love for people to become an Event Coordinator and Certified Wedding Planner. She was loving, inclusive and detail-oriented. She brought lots of joy to brides and families by helping them coordinate their special occasions.
She enjoyed traveling with family and friends to places including Europe, Hawaii and cruising. She loved cats, they were not merely pets to her, they were members of her family.
Melinda is survived by her mother Shir Lee McCormick, brothers Brian McCormick and Kelly McCormick in Texas. Father Dr. Ronald McCormick and his subsequent family living in Florida.
She is also survived by stepbrothers Charlie, Randy, Gary, David and stepsister Mary Jo Stallard Griggs.
Melinda had one child, Blayne Elliott Moseley that married Mirthis and they had Elliott Ashton Moseley who just celebrated his second Birthday, step grandchild, Ian Poppe.
Ex-spouses are: Wayne Moseley and Pete Nolasco.
Melinda loved deeply and is loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
Melinda is now with Jesus and in the loving hands of the Lord.
