Obituary

Milton Wayne Noey, age 69, passed away at DeSoto, Texas on the 10th of February 2022. Milton was born October 25, 1952 in Galveston, TX and through his life lived in Galveston, the Houston Metroplex and the Dallas Metroplex. Milton had three passions in his life outside of God and family. They were Acme Truck Line, Hillcrest Baptist Church, and his Tae Kwon Do studio Protec USA. Milton faithfully devoted 30 years to ACME Truck Line where he was an Area Manager and Vice President. During these 30 years he always had a passion for helping ACME grow and training colleagues to advance and reach their highest potential. Milton retired from ACME in December 2020. Milton was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for almost twenty years. He served with dedication on the SAFE team, finance committee, long-range planning committee, and many other ministries. He was loved by the church family, where he impacted so many lives. As a young man Milton began his Tae Kwon Do journey with Joon Rhee, one of the first Tae Kwon Do instructors in the United States. Many years later Milton returned to Tae Kwon Do for health reasons. After receiving his black belt, he continued to practice martial arts and opened a Tae Kwon Do studio to pass his training and experience on to the next generation. It gave him great pleasure to see his students develop into strong leaders in all areas of their lives. Those who knew him well knew his hobbies included working — even after retirement. Survivors include his wife Lisa Noey, of DeSoto, TX; Sabrina (Jeff) Tippey, of Cedar Rapids, IA; Micah Taylor, of Arlington, TX; Harrison (Anju) Taylor, of Mansfield, TX; Katelyn Taylor, of Arlington, TX; and grandchildren Jaylynn (Joey) Tippey, Brandon Tippey, Brianna (Brennan) Murphy, Naomi Taylor, and Tilak “Ty” Taylor. Milton was preceded in death by Henry E. Noey and Emelia A. (Gene) Staten. Services will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W Pleasant Run Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104, on February 18, 2022 at 11am. Please join the family in a reception to follow. For those of you unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at https://www.hillcrestbc.com/funeral/ Honorary pallbearers: Randall Allen, John Johnson, Jorge Parrales, Mark Roesler, Micah Taylor, & Burton Tyler In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at Hillcrest Baptist Church Children’s Ministry. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.   Arrangements under the direction of:

Milton was a goog man who did much to encourage others. He always greeted you with a big smile and a firm handshake, looked you in the eyes, and asked with care what he could do for you. Lisa, know that you will be in Suzie and my prayers. You are loved.

I began working at ACME in 2005 & the first time I spoke to Milton I thought that he was the owner of the company! Milton was the best & he expected the same from everyone. Over the years I realized that Milton did everything that he could to make ACME the best company not only for him but for all of us. I would kid him & call him Million Dollar Milton – I realize now that he was a one in a Million kind of guy. I am thankful that I had the pleasure of working with him. Not many people can say that they made a difference in the lives of others – but I see that Milton truly did! I pray that the memories of Milton will bring his family & friends peace.

He will be missed. The past year that my son has been at Protec, Mr and Mrs Noey have been extremely helpful in building his confidence and their partnership with the families in bringing out the best in their students is unmeasurable. His command of presence with the students was always encouraging to watch and I will forever be a footnote in my son’s progression in martial arts.

    Prayers for the family.

Dearest Mrs. Noey, I am terribly saddened to hear of Sensei’s passing. My children and I held him in highest esteem, with respect and a heartfelt love of Christ. He was a kind, generous man with a great sense of humor who left a wonderful legacy and warm memories. My heart goes out to you and your family and I will be keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. I regret not stopping by the dojo and being out of touch; sometimes life’s circumstances pull one away from people we care about although their places in our hearts are cemented. You and Sensei will always be special people in our lives and we thank God for you both. May the God of all Comfort hold you close.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
