Obituary

Sunrise:  September 23, 1969 – Sunset:  November 22, 2022

Nona Faye Trigg, age 53, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Irving, Texas.

Nona was born in Irving, Texas to Sharon Trigg and Virgil Trigg, Sr. She grew up in Irving, graduating from MacArthur High School. She worked faithfully for the City of Irving for 27 years until her passing. Nona gave her life to Christ at an early age and served on numerous church ministries.

Nona loved life and lived it to the fullest. She brought happiness and excitement with a smile that could light up every room. But her greatest passion in life was her two beautiful children, Lorenzo and Taylor. Being their mom was the most important job in the world to her. Nona will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and everyone who had a conversation with her.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ophalean Eagans Sweat, beloved aunt Brenda Eagans and cousin Chazare Strawn. She is survived by her son, Lorenzo Chapman; daughter, Taylor Trigg; mother, Sharon Trigg; father, Virgil (Tina) Trigg; paternal grandparents Pearlie and Helen Rogers; five grandchildren (Naiheme, Jayvrin, Jayveah, Zion, and Destiny); four sisters (Zanetta, Carla, Monica, and Carissa); one brother, Virgil Trigg, Jr, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Nona on Tuesday, December 6th from 12 – 2pm at the Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church, 316 E Shady Grove Rd., Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Visitation will also be held from 11am – 12pm or 2 – 3pm for those unable to attend the service.

Nona was absolutely amazing. I looked forward to seeing her everyday at work. She brightened every room she was in and she was always so cheerful. Her smile instantly made you feel better. She was a great person and friend. Nona made people’s lives better just by knowing her. She will be sorely missed.

Sadly, a wonderful person will no longer be able to share her beautiful smile and sincerity of humor with us as she did every day. It was a blessing to be called her friend and coworker while working for the City of Irving. In this time of grief, my prayers are with her family.

I miss you, Nona. I never would have thought that seeing you at the Thanksgiving luncheon would be the last time I’d talk to you. May you rest in peace.

Nona it was an honor for you and I to help each other with our kids. You stayed next door to my daughter and helped her, visa versa when Taylor was younger. I will continue to help support your kids when needed. We just spoke before your passing and I’m still in disbelief. You will be missed and RIH. La Shaun

Nona Too Lit… We will see you when our time comes.. Hold hands with family members and friends up there in heaven and pray over everybody that’s left here on earth. Give us strength, Love and Understanding. Help us understand how we all need each other more than anything. Help us put our petty differences to the side and love one another for we don’t know who will leave next.. Guide us. Rest in heaven Nona. We will never forget all the link ups and talks about we had about life and health-base conversations and getting lit and turned up in the process every chance we had got at the time as well. I was your personal nurse that answered any question you had personally. We miss you and you will be truly missed. You just gave us another reason to make sure we check up on each other daily and all of our loved ones as well because life is definitely short. We need to be more involved in each others lives and this world is hard to live in. I can wish so much but I can’t change the outcome. Just know we all love you and I love you Nona. Watch over all of us.

Sincerely your step sister Wendy Santee and your close lit 🔥 friend Willie Washington ❤️

Forever Long Live Nona Trigg 🙏🏿❤️😇

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
