Obituary
Donald “Craig” Wadsworth, 71, saint of the church, joined the church triumphant on August 4, 2021. He passed peacefully at home in Richardson, TX while recovering from an emergency surgery 2 weeks earlier. He had fought a valiant and lengthy battle with Parkinson’s/Lewy Body dementia. Born September 19, 1949 in Dallas, Texas, Craig resided much of his life in Richardson, TX, graduating from Richardson High School and North Texas State University, then pursuing a career in both wholesale and retail sales which he fully enjoyed. Craig met Ruth Dunlap at a Master’s swim program at Berkner High School and they were married in 1985. Craig held various leadership positions in the community including President of the Junior Citizens of America during his high school years and then as an elder and deacon within the Presbyterian Church. He and Ruth loved to travel and visit with family and friends. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Kathyrn and Howard C. Wadsworth II and niece Gretchen L. Wadsworth. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ruth D. Wadsworth of Richardson, brothers Howard C. Wadsworth III of Richardson, James R. Wadsworth and wife Janeen of Portland, OR, his mother-in-law Ruth B. Dunlap of Richardson, sister-in-law Janet K. Hunter and husband Bill of Richardson, brother-in-law David R. Dunlap and wife Robin of Bristol, PA, nephew Wil Wadsworth of Santa Clara, CA, nieces Rachel M. Costanza and husband Jordan of Beaverton, OR, Dawn M. Dunlap of Tullytown, PA, Christina A. Ovalle and husband Sam of Lititz, PA, Jessie L. Davy and husband Rob of Edgewater Park, NJ and 11 great nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Craig’s life on September 25, 2021 at 11 am at NorthPark Presbyterian Church. Please check with the Church prior to the service in case it has to be postponed due to COVID concerns (214 363-5457). Memorial contributions may be made in Craig’s name to Parkinson Voice Project (Richardson, TX 469 375-6500) or to NorthPark Presbyterian Church (Dallas, TX 214 363-5457).
