Obituary
William Edward Roberts (Papa/Bill) age 80 passed away on February 27,2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. William was raised in Goodland Orphanage. He went on to complete his high school education in 1965. In May of 1966, he enlisted in the United States Army. Years later he married Velma Tushka in 1972. He went to work for the city of Dallas Parks and Recreation where he retired after 25 years of service. He and Velma retired in Arlington, TX. Bill enjoyed spending his time gardening, playing his guitars, attending church and gatherings with his family and friends. He liked to fix things and would help people with anything. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners. He was a kind, strong, empathic, unselfish and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by daughter/granddaughter Rebecca Browning, brothers Jimmy Roberts and Wilson Roberts.
He had many nieces, cousins, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Velma Roberts, sisters Mary Jane Bacon, Carrie Robinson/ brothers Elias Roberts, Andrew
Thomas Roberts and baby brother Henry Roberts.
